SERVICES SETA BURSARY

ABOUT SERVICES SETA

The Services SETA is one of 21 SETAs and has the duty to disburse training levies that are collected from employers. These levies are collected by the Services SETA through the Department of Higher Education and Training and are disbursed to help with skills development.

This SETA aims to co-ordinate the development of employment and entrepreneurship within the services industry. This will assist in the effort of South Africa to grow the economy of the country

BURSARY INFORMATION - SERVICES SETA

The bursary is aimed at addressing the question of skills shortages in the country. It offers basic financial support which assists bursary holders to make payments towards the completion of their studies. You must be unemployed and be studying in a public institution in the South Africa.

The aim of the bursary funding is to ensure that a flow of quality skills into the labour market of the services sector is continuous and sustainable.

  • Faculty veri ed prescribed books list that corresponds with the

BURSARY TERMINATION

The Services SETA reserves the right to terminate the bursary if:

• The bursar is found to have breached any terms and conditions of the bursary, as de ned by the Services SETA in the contract
• The bursar is found to have defrauded the Services SETA in any way .i.e fraudulent lease agreement, purchasing books other than those prescribed
• The student does not pass all registered modules
• The bursar is found guilty of any misconduct or ill-discipline by the
institution
• The student changes quali cation or starts another quali cation without
completing the one they are funded for.
• The learner is found to have failed to uphold and/or adhere to the
requirements of the agreement
• The learners, for whatever reason, is disquali ed or expelled by the
institution
• The student is excluded due to poor performance, exceeding N2 rule
• The student fails to complete the quali cation on record time

The bursary shall cover tuition fees as determined determined through statement of account. up to the maximum capped R76 000.00

If there is a balance e available available then then books and other expenses can be covered based on proof of expenses the maximum capped amount.

Eligibility

South African citizen

Youth between the age of 16 to 35 who do not have any other bursary funding

Applicants who have recently recently completed completed Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics and Physical Science

Applicants who registered with a Tertiary Institution and have passed all their modules or year

Such applicants must already be studying at an accredited South African Tertiary Institution in on mentioned fields of study

Applicants must complete in full the Bursary Application form which is available on the CHIETA webs

Attach a certified ID copy (not (not older than 3 months)

Attach a certified copy of final Grade 12 results or recent statement of results.

Certified proof of registration from from a a Tertiary Institution to be submitted before contract signing bursary

Auditor General (AGSA) Bursaries 2021

Auditor General of South Africa Bursaries

In order to qualify for AGSA bursaries students must meet the following criteria

Must be studying or intending to study towards a qualification as a Chartered Accountant (i.e. BCom Accounting CA stream, Bachelor of Accounting CA stream and BCompt) at a University accredited by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).

Bursary holders are required to serve articles / enter into a training contract with the organisation on completion of their studies as per the bursary contract.

Who Can Apply for AGSA Bursaries?

AGSA bursaries are awarded to South African citizens only.

All candidates must be:

Proficient in English with strong communication skills

Have good interpersonal skills

Have a drive, determination and commitment to succeed

Have strong leadership potential

AGSA Bursaries Requirement for Matric

  •   Must obtain matric exemption and university acceptance
  •   Must obtain at least 60% for English
  •   Must obtain at least 60% for Mathematics (not Maths literacy)

AGSA Bursaries Requirement for University Student

 University students must:

1st year students

      Obtain over 60% for Financial Accounting

 2nd year students

      Obtain over 60% for Financial Accounting

      Obtain over 60% for Managerial Accounting

 3rd and Final year students

Alfred Nzo District Municipality Bursaries 2020 - 2021


Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified persons for external bursary programme for 2019 Academic year.

Alfred District Municipality bursary funds the following scarce and critical skills:

  • Bsc in Community Water Services and Sanitation
  • Bsc in Water Resource Management or any other water and sanitation related qualification

Successful students are expected to enter into a contractual agreement with Alfred Nzo District Municipality.

BURSARY INFORMATION - DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE

The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) intends to award comprehensive bursary scholarships to qualifying applicants pursuing and/or intending to further their studies in critical scarce skills in the agricultural, forestry and fisheries sectors for the 2019 academic year.

The Municipality is offering financial assistance to students, in the form of study bursaries for the 2017 academic year.

This is an Executive Mayoral driven initiative which is done as part of Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality’s development of human capital, and applications are invited from students of previously disadvantaged backgrounds.

The Bursary Fund is intended to assist current or prospective students and shall be used towards covering tuition and registration fees, prescribed books, study material and accommodation.

Financial Services Board (FSB) Bursary


The Financial Services Board is a unique independent institution established by statute to oversee the South African Non-Banking Financial Services Industry in the public interest. The FSB is committed to promote and maintain a sound financial investment environment in South Africa.

FSB Bursary Details (2021)


Current university students:
  • Must have passed their first or second year of studies with an average of at least 65%.
  • The applicant should forward their academic record with their letter of application.
Grade 12 learners:
  • Should have obtained at least an A symbol in Mathematics and a B in English in their last two examinations.
  • The final decision on this category of learners will be based on their final year examination results.

Who Can Apply for FSB Bursary?


Fsb bursary application is open to students pursuing (current university students) or currently in Grade 12 who intend pursuing studies in the actuarial science field in the year 2012. The successful candidates will be required to enter into a workback contract with the FSB, proportional to the number of years they have been funded by the organisation.
