Magalies Water was established in 1969 as “Vaalkop Water Board”, with the most goal of activity water to atomic number 78 mines at intervals the Thabazimbi and Rustenburg areas. These days they supply quality bulk water and secondary services to mines, municipalities and different industries across Gauteng, Crocodile River and also the North West.
Magalies Water treats water that has flown into the Department of Water and Sanitation’s dams. The water is purchased from the DWS then channelled to Magalies Water’s eight water treatment plants – once treated, the water is distributed to municipalities, industries and mines.
Magalies has the following bursary options available for year 2019
Electrical Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
National Diploma Water Care
Once students have graduated, can|they're going to|they'll} be able to participate within the twelve month experiential coaching – the post programme will equip students with valuable skills which can increase their odds of finding permanent employment.
Who Must Apply for Magalies bursary?
South African citizen
Reside within one of the Magalies Water operational areas
Completed Matric
Studying full time within one of the aforementioned fields of study (2nd year)
Achieved a minimum overall average of 65% at tertiary level
Preference will be given to females, previously disadvantaged students and disabled students
