Allan Gray bursary seeks to encourage prosperity through entrepreneurship in an integrated Southern Africa. The Allan Gray Foundation aims to achieve this vision by identifying, educating and equipping demographically diverse individuals who have the potential to excel and make a significant difference and future impact as high impact entrepreneurial leaders of South Africa.

Allan Gray Bursary Programme is for applicants who are citizens from South Africa, Swaziland or Namibia who intend pursuing their studies in the following fields:

- Science bursary
- Engineering bursary
- Law or Humanities (majoring in Politics)
Applicants who wish to receive financial assistance through this bursary programme must enrol at South African universities like Wits university, University of Johannesburg, University of Cape Town, Nelson Mandela Metro University, Rhodes University, University of Western Cape or Stellenbosch university like in Absa bursary for South Africa. Bursary applicants/recipients must be older than 22 years of age on 31 August 2021.
