De Beers Bursaries
De Beers will be offering bursaries to these following fields of study:
Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (preferably heavy circuit)
Geology (Honours) with Chemistry, Mathe-matics or Physics as a second major or any other major approved by the Corporation.
Two years‟ service and an obligation in respect of holiday work. Candidates must be South African citizens or permanent residents. Year for year employment.
Commerce – Accounting major only( affirmative action applicants only)
Bursaries Requirements
Grade 12 with a minimum “C” symbol in both Mathematics and Science on Higher Grade;
You must already enrolled in the required field of study;
You must have no other bursary
Bursary Value
Tuition and residence fees plus a cash allowance of R6 100 per annum. Computer purchase allowance in third year of study R8 000.
